How I Can Help You
In person and online services for both dog professionals and pet parents
Jessica's approach goes beyond conventional methods. She has taught me the importance of not labeling dogs, believing that every dog has the potential to grow beyond their perceived limitations. Jessica's clarity in teaching and her ability to understand the whys behind a dog's behavior is truly remarkable. Under her guidance, I've not only become a more confident trainer but also developed a deeper connection and understanding with the dogs I work with.
I'm passionate about supporting both ends of the leash
Hi, I’m Jessica Wheatcraft, CDBC. With over 19 years of experience and thousands of dogs helped, my mission is to bridge the communication gap between humans and their canine companions. My journey began in a local shelter and led me to San Diego, where I traded a career path in psychology for a lifelong passion for dog behavior. As a specialist in leash reactivity, my training philosophy centers around positive reinforcement based methods, and clear communication. I believe every dog deserves to be understood, and every owner deserves to feel confident. Let’s work together to create a happier, more harmonious life for you and your dog.
We worked with Jessica virtually, and she completely changed the way we work with and understand Olive. One of the most helpful parts of the process was being able to send videos between sessions and get thoughtful, practical feedback that we could apply right away. When we started, Olive could barely make it a block without reacting to other dogs or getting overwhelmed by her surroundings. Less than two months later, she was going on calm, relatively stress-free neighborhood walks. The difference in her confidence and comfort has been huge, and we feel much more confident as owners too. We’re incredibly grateful for Jessica, the care she puts into her work, and the strategies she taught us that we still use with Olive every day.
